A little awkward, but very secure

The Cotton Carrier hand strap attaches through one of the neck strap loops on a DLSR and then, through a special adapter, to tripod mounting screw on the bottom of the camera. Yes, this does mean you can’t put the camera on a tripod with the strap attached, unless you buy an additional adapter plate.
But — if you have a heavy camera, such as one of the full-frame cameras, or you just want a more solid grip on your camera, the strap is outstanding. After mere seconds, it feels perfectly natural, and it gives you a good, solid grip on the camera with less effort.
