North Islander

North Islander was the base newspaper for Naval Air Station North Island, located at the north end of Coronado peninsula, at the entrance to San Diego Bay. The base was commissioned in 1917, and is considered the birthplace of naval aviation. The paper featured stories about activities taking place on base, and with the associated commands, visiting ships, and related matters.
